Zoey Martinson is a comedy & genre writer and director. In theater she's written & directed Off-Broadway and internationally. Her feature film debut The Fisherman (an official selection of the 81st Venice Biennale Film Festival) filmed Ghana the film highlights her quirky unique voice in comedy and genre storytelling. For television, she wrote and directed Incomplete on Hulu's/ Disney+ Bite Size Halloween that was nominated for an NAACP Image Award 2023. The Wave for MTV/ Paramount+, Directed Episode 1-6 of A24's Ziwe on Showtime S2, Writer on season 2 of Betty on HBO Max. One of the 10 Female directing finalists featured on Issa Rea's Project Greenlight, on Max. Her short film Cupids, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, then ran on BET & CBS and nominated for an NAACP Image Award 2022 as part of 8:46Films. Directed "Uthandiwe" for South Africa's DSTV MzansiMagic, Director for ABC/ Disney Discovers Talent. Her award winning short film 'La Oposición' played at Casa Mexico Program SXSW.
